What’s up everyone! Andrei here, back again with some fresh music for you! As the town of Paralives continues to come to life thanks to our amazing artists Chloé and Léa, we’ve been adding different types of local businesses for your Paras to explore. (You can check out more about the town in this post). To give a specific vibe to each of these businesses, we decided to compose custom music for some of them
When I thought about a classy clothing shop, I immediately pictured some smooth Muzak with Bossa Nova vibes
When I had to create the music for the antiques shop, I pictured the owners as an old couple. So I composed a simple waltzy melody, imagining that it was the song to which they first danced to. And on their time off, one of them would ask for the other’s hand and start slow dancing amongst all the antiques full of cherished memories.
For the flower shop, I wanted to make something that felt zen and almost meditative. My thought was that the owner(s) would play this music not for the customers but for the flowers to blossom and be happy
Looking back, I realized that most of the tracks I had done for the town lots were pretty chill. So I wanted to twist things up and make something upbeat for the barbershop. The kinda track that would start playing as your para goes in and the staff says “don’t worry, we’re gonna make you look like a star”
For the café, I just went with something smooth and catchy. A little R&B flavor, sprinkled with pop and folk. The kind of tune that quietly gets stuck in your head while you sip your coffee
That’s the lineup! The idea was to make simple and catchy songs that would fit the personality of each business. That way, whenever you’re exploring the town with your newly created paras you can vibe to the music as you find out all the different things that you can do out there. As the game grows and more places open up, I’ll be super excited to add more music to give them their own personality.
Until next time,
